About Us
To Teach English is a free EFL/ESL teacher resources site. It started the way most good ideas do: in the teachers’ room, during a break, with a shared complaint.
Three of us were sitting there, comparing notes on the lesson we’d each spent our evening building from scratch. Again. A worksheet here, a slideshow there, a Kahoot pieced together at midnight. A video hunted down on YouTube that almost fit the grammar point we were teaching. We joked that we’d each reinvented the same wheel three different ways that week alone.
Then one of us asked the obvious question: why isn’t there just one place with all of it? The lesson, the worksheet, the video, the infographic, the game, the exercise. Everything a teacher needs for a single grammar point, sitting together, ready to use.
There wasn’t one. So we decided to build it.
That conversation is where ToTeachEnglish began. A shared push to build real EFL/ESL teacher resources, instead of everyone reinventing the wheel alone.
We’re still in the classroom. Every resource we build gets tested against the same question we asked ourselves that day. Does this actually make a teacher’s life easier? If the answer is no, it doesn’t go up.
Every resource on this site is organized around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It’s the same six-level framework (A1 through C2) used in most modern English coursebooks. So whatever textbook your class already follows, our lessons, worksheets, and activities line up with the level you’re teaching. Not against it. Keep in mind that we’re building out this library gradually, one complete grammar point at a time. Not every level and topic is fully populated yet. New content goes up every week.

A world where no EFL/ESL teacher has to start their lesson prep from a blank page. Whether they’re in a well-resourced language school or a classroom with a single shared textbook.
We want ToTeachEnglish to become the first place teachers think to check, no matter where they’re teaching from. Not just another site with scattered materials, but the one place that has all of it. Organized, current, and built by people who are still standing where you’re standing every day.
If we’ve done our job, a teacher anywhere in the world should be able to open ToTeachEnglish. They’ll find exactly what they need for tomorrow’s class. And get back the evening they were about to lose to lesson planning.

To give every EFL/ESL teacher, everywhere, one reliable place to find complete, ready-to-teach resources. So lesson prep takes minutes, not hours.
We build in complete sets, not scraps. When we tackle a grammar point, we don’t publish half of it and call it done. Every topic comes as a full package, organized across three parts of the site:
- Grammar: A clear video lesson, a written explanation, a visual infographic, worksheets, and speaking and writing activities for every grammar point. All matched to the same CEFR level, all ready the moment you need them.
- Classroom Tools: Free, no-sign-up tools built for the moments in between the lesson plan, from timers and random team pickers to word search and crossword generators.
- Teaching Tips and Ideas: Our blog, where we share practical classroom strategies, methodology insights, and ideas you can use tomorrow, not just theory.
And we show up every week. New content, consistently, because a resource site a teacher can’t count on isn’t much of a resource at all.
